NameSurfer 7.6.4.1


Some name servers perform caching of DNS data. This means that they may answer recursive DNS queries, using saved results from an earlier, similar query, instead performing a full DNS lookup. Caching reduces network traffic and improves the average response time.

Caching is controlled by the time-to-live (TTL) value of the DNS data.
