An incremental zone transfer (IXFR) is a more efficient way
than a normal zone transfer to propagate
changes to a zone. While a normal zone transfer involves transferring
all the records in the zone, incremental transfers only a portion of
the zone, namely the changes done to zone data since the last update.
In this way, the network traffic needed for the transfer of the updated
DNS data is reduced.
