In the input field Key name:, you may input the name to be used for the particular key: free text, letters a-z, no whitespace allowed. With the checkbox available for TSIG keys only, Can be used for Dynamic DNS updates:, you can specify whether the key may be used for dynamic DNS updates. The input field Key secret part (not recommended to edit): contains the secret part of the key. If edited, dynamic DNS update OR NSAPI -access is discontinued until the new key is updated on the client. The page shows the date of issue of the key; you can define its expiration date. The date must be given in format DD.MM.YYYY. If no expiration is desired then enter "Never" in the date-field.
By default, the fields Restrict editing to zone(s) and Restrict editing
to name pattern(s) should be empty to enable dynamic
updates to any zone and name.
Restrict editing to view(s): A TSIG key can be bound to a
specific view, allowing editing of only one view using this key. This
function overrides the normal IP address based restriction of a view.
With the Restrict editing to name pattern(s) input field, the editing can be restricted to only some name patterns. NSAPI keys can be restricted to access rights associated with user groups by choosing appropriate groups with Restrict access rights with groups checkboxes. If no restrictions are set (i.e. no group is selected) the key will have unlimited administrative rights. Having edited the fields, click OK for the changes to take effect. Clicking the Remove button removes the particular key completely. |
