The addresses may be entered in any of the formats defined in RFC1884. For example, 1080:0:0:0:8:800:200C:417A is a valid IPv6 address.

Unlike the case of IPv4 A records and IPv6 A6 records, NameSurfer does not allocate IPv6 addresses automatically. Reverse records are updated automatically also with IPv6 addresses.
