You can use the * character as a wildcard matching any number of characters in the name. Searches are case insensitive. For example, entering ann* might match the hosts annex.acme.com and Anne.Bella.net. The search entry field on the index page searches through all the zone names on the index page. If the search is performed on the zone page, FusionLayer NameSurfer will scan the zone and display all names matching the search string. There is another option for search called "Advanced search". With this option, you can search the whole FusionLayer NameSurfer database for specific zones, domain names and resource records. This kind of search depends very much on the patterns you have specified and if the patterns are not strict enough it might take a significant length of time to find suitable records and display huge amounts of data in the browser. Executed on the index page, this kind of search performs a global search in all the zones known to FusionLayer NameSurfer; executed on the zone page, it searches only in the zone in question.
