The user accounts page displays the currently defined FusionLayer NameSurfer user accounts and basic information about them.
On the user accounts page the following information is listed:
FusionLayer NameSurfer supports simultaneous access by multiple users from multiple locations. Each user can be assigned one or several group memberships: the actual rights for a particular user account is a combination of all the groups that the particular user account belongs to. For example, the group membership can give it's members permission to examine and change the DNS data maintained using FusionLayer NameSurfer.
These user accounts are separate from the UNIX user accounts of the server machine - they are created and configured within FusionLayer NameSurfer itself, not through /etc/passwd.
In order to add a new user account, select Create new user in the navigation. This will bring up an empty user page to fill in the necessary information.
User accounts page also contains tools which allow you to flexibly make mass changes to the user accounts in FusionLayer NameSurfer. With each tool you may search and update one or several users accounts by entering a search criteria, which may consist of a user pattern and/or an user parameter type and it's value pattern.
You may add several parameter type/value pairs to the search in order to get a more precise results by clicking Add new button in the Search criteria fieldset.
The tools are designated for the following functions:
More help on using these functions can be found at the user accounts/groups update tools.
Change log allows you to view changes made to the user accounts by selecting a time interval and a search criteria.
