A zone is almost, but not quite, the same thing as a domain. A zone consists of a domain together with any subdomains that have not been delegated to name servers of their own. In practice, the words zone and domain are often used synonymously. In the common case of a domain that has no delegated subdomains (or no subdomains at all), they mean exactly the same thing. Tags (experimental) can be added to zones by clicking the link labelled "Modify" under the Tags section in the Zone Overview. Please note: if a user's access to objects (i.e. zones) has been restricted (in the user's groups' settings), then only the tags to which the user has access to can be added to the zones. Full access level to the zones overrides any tag related restrictions to objects (i.e. zones). Please see the separate documentation about tagging for more information. |
